PALS Screening Day
Posted on April 26th, 2018
Do you have a child between the ages of 3 and 5? Do you have questions or concerns about your his or her development? If so, please come attend a fun and play based screening session this spring. The team will include a speech language pathologist, occupational therapist and a teacher. They will screen your child’s speech sounds, language skills, fine-motor and emergent academic skills. The screening may help determine your child’s eligibility for our preschool program (PALS) or if your child may benefit from additional supports in kindergarten.
The date for this walk-in screening clinic will be Friday, May 11th from 12:00 – 3:00 pm. PALS or Play and Learn at School is an early intervention program that is offered within Elk Island Public Schools with one location at Mundare School. PALS programs provide a natural preschool environment with additional supports needed to ensure learning success with a special emphasis on literacy and language development. Screening will take place in the ECS wing of Mundare School. Please enter through the north doors of the school. Please give the school a call at 780-764-3962 if you have any questions.
